Organic Maitake closest to nature | MycoMedica

content: 100g, 100% PURE, ORGANIC
Maitake (‘Dancing mushroom’) is a very popular mushroom and is currently being cultivated around the world. Traditional Chinese medicine believes in its cleansing effects and it has been used for thousands of years. Here we offer Maitake in the form of a mushroom powder/biomass, when the fruiting body of the dried mushroom is ground to a very fine powder using a special shell broken method which breaks the chitin shell of the cell and releases the active substances. This form has a more delicate effect compared with extract.

Tested in the German Agrolab.

About Maitake

Maitake (Grifola frondosa; translated as the ‘Dancing mushroom’, this name is based on the responses of its seekers dancing happily when they found this amazing and highly valued mushroom) is a Polyporales, parasitic mushroom with a fruiting body which looks like a large cluster that is made up of a stem with up to several hundred caps grown together. The fruiting body of the Maitake can therefore reach a width of 100 cm. It grows at the base of trees and stumps. Maitake comes from Asia and North America, but is now widespread around the world and is being grown commercially.

Maitake is popular in the culinary industry, it has a rich, delicate flavour and a very pleasant aroma, but it’s even better known as a medicinal mushroom that has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years, while it was first mentioned in ‘western cultures’ in 1785, by Scottish mycologist, James J. Dickson. Maitake contains many biologically active substances, starting with vitamins, minerals and polysaccharides, proteoglycans (D-fraction), phenols, flavonoids and unsaturated fatty acids.

The quality of our products and the satisfaction of our customers are our highest priority. All of our products are regularly tested for heavy metals, pesticides and other substances that burden the human body. This product also meets the criteria for BIO, biological farming
